Take Our Kids to Work Day 2024

Take Our Kids to Work Day at Gibson gave students an exciting, up-close look into the energy industry and what a day on the job looks like for the Gibson Team.

The morning started with a warm welcome where students got to meet each other over some light snacks. Callie Ann Masse then kicked off the day with an inspiring session that included a land acknowledgment and an introduction to important Gibson initiatives like the Moose Hide Campaign and Orange Shirt Day. This set the stage for the day, showing Gibson’s commitment to community values and reconciliation.

Afterward, Greg Spiess and Cameron Ho led the group through a Safety Moment and a overview of Gibson’s operations. They also shared practical resume and interview tips and participated in an “Insights Activity.”

Riccardo Silvestro then joined the group, sharing stories and leadership insights. After that, Greg and Cameron led a guided office tour, showing the students how each department contributes to the bigger picture at Gibson.

For lunch, students met up with their family members, sharing reflections from the morning and creating some fun bonding moments.

The afternoon session featured Patrick Inglis and Brent Dyer, who gave a “Oil & Gas 101” presentation. This introduction to the industry helped the students understand the important role Gibson plays in powering communities.

The formal part of the day wrapped up with students joining their family members to shadow them for the rest of the afternoon. It was a day of learning, connection and inspiration—a memorable start to exploring the professional world and the values that fuel Gibson.

Thank you to all of our team members who helped make it happen!
