We are a Canadian-based liquids infrastructure company with a focused asset base and stable, long-term cash flows.
With nearly 14 million barrels of storage, and over 500 km of crude pipelines, we touch 1 in every 4 barrels produced in Western Canada.
Safety, environmental protection and community play important roles in our growth as a company.
We are a Canadian-based liquids infrastructure company that connects customers to markets, employees to rewarding careers, and investors to long-term value.
Our Hardisty Terminal comprises 14 million barrels of storage and is strategically located at the heart of the most important heavy crude oil hub in Canada.
As the largest independent storage facility at Hardisty, we touch one in four barrels of crude oil produced in Western Canada. With our best-in-class connectivity, our Hardisty Terminal offers the most flexibility for our customers to get their product out of the WCSB and towards end markets.
Innovative DRU technology (diluent recovery unit) and its product, DRUbit™, are a more sustainable way to deliver heavy Canadian crude (bitumen) from Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast.
The Hardisty Energy Terminal (HET) near Hardisty, Alberta, Canada, is a high quality infrastructure project and the first diluent recovery unit (DRU) in Western Canada. The HET is a 50/50% joint venture between USD and Gibson. The DRU separates the diluent that has been added to the raw bitumen in the production process (to aid flow through the pipelines), which meets two important market needs – it returns the recovered diluent for reuse in the Alberta market, reducing delivered costs for diluent, and it creates DRUbit™, a proprietary heavy Canadian crude oil specifically designed for rail transportation and preferred by refiners.
Our Edmonton Terminal is strategically positioned at a major Canadian oil export hub with approximately 1.7 million barrels of storage and rail loading capabilities.
Our Edmonton Terminal is strategically connected to “Pipeline Alley,” one of the key energy transportation hubs in Canada. This terminal has storage, receipt and delivery connections to major pipelines, refineries and upgrading facilities in the area.
Our Moose Jaw Facility in Saskatchewan is a heavy crude oil processing facility that produces a wide range of high-quality refined products.
Operating year-round with road, rail and pipeline connections, our Moose Jaw Facility runs a heavy crude feedstock, with the resulting light end products composed of tops, heavy distillate, light distillate and CVGO, while heavy end products include roofing flux and road asphalt.
Our network of over 500 kilometers of 100% owned and operated crude oil pipelines drive volume into our Hardisty Terminal.
Our crude oil pipeline network surrounding our Hardisty Terminal has a combined throughput capacity of approximately 90,000 barrels per day. Customers on our pipeline system benefit from the connectivity into egress pipelines and access to storage available through our Hardisty Terminal.
Our U.S. Pipelines and Operations expand the company’s infrastructure footprint and establish a platform for long-term growth in the U.S.
Our U.S. Pipeline and Operations is composed of the Pyote East Pipeline, the Pyote West Pipeline, Flintlock Pipeline and the Gibson Wink Terminal, in addition to multiple pipeline injection stations focused in and around the Permian.
Our full-service marketing group is positioned to provide a full suite of marketing services to our customers, helping them get more product towards end markets.
Through our Producer Services capabilities and our ability to leverage our terminal infrastructure, rail cars, loading capabilities and downstream relationships, we create market access solutions for our customers.
